  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp nonfat dry milk
  • 2 tbsp butter cut in small pieces

  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries

  • Pour the water in the bread machine and sprinkle yeast on top of it. Let it sit between 6-10 minutes to activate. It should foam.
  • Add the orange juice, salt, sugar, dry milk, butter, orange zest, and flour.
  • Set the machine to the "sweet" cycle, 1.5 lb, light crust. Begin cycle as per manufacturer's instructions.
  • Mix dried cranberries and chopped pecans in a small bowl or resealable bag with 1 tsp flour and mix to coat. Add them to the machine at the "add ingredient" signal.

Notes

You can use dried cranberries or dried mixed berries. Also, you can use chopped pecans or sliced almonds.
